Counselling Process

Information about the MCA counselling procedure at Tezpur University.

What is Counselling?

Counselling is the process where shortlisted candidates (based on TUEE/CUET rank) are called to verify their documents and confirm their seat in the MCA program.

Date of Counselling?

This year around document verification is held on both 27 and 28 july so you can report on either date.

Required Documents for Document Verification (28 July 2026)

Download and bring the following forms filled and signed:

(i) Mandatory Documents

  1. Two copies of recent passport size photograph.
  2. A print copy of the online filled application form.
  3. Certificate of HSLC/Class 10 or equivalent having date of birth.

This will act as your birth certificate.

  1. Medical certificate as per Annexure duly signed by a Registered Medical Practitioner.
  2. Pass certificates of all examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent (except pass certificate of the qualifying examination if the result is awaited).
  3. Payment receipt of online seat booking.
  4. Mark sheets / grade cards of all examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent (except marksheet of the qualifying examination if the result is awaited).

If your provisional pass certificate doesnt include your cgpa then individual grade sheets of each semester are required.

  1. A character certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.

The character certificate is sometimes included in the pass certificate itself.

  1. Valid SC/ST/PWD/OBC-NCL/EWS certificate issued by the competent authority (for reserved category candidates). Candidates failing to produce the category certificate will have their admission forfeited. Latest OBC-NCL/EWS certificate will only be considered.
  2. Valid CUET-PG qualified score card.
  3. Result awaited case: A certificate/undertaking issued by the Principal/Head of the Institution last attended, confirming that the candidate has appeared in all examinations (including theory, practical, and project) before the date of admission. Candidates required to appear in any course/subject after the date of admission will not be eligible for provisional admission.
  4. Aadhar card or any other government issued ID like Driving license, Passport or Voter ID.

Usually id proofs arent required but keep it with you just in case.

(ii) Documents for Provisional Admission (Late Submission)

These are to be submitted before 30th October 2026.

  1. Gap certificate (in original) from the District Police Authority or Court Affidavit, in case of a gap in study of more than one year after the qualifying examination. Example
  2. Duly filled Undertaking (A or B) signed by the candidate and his/her parents/guardian.
  3. Migration certificate(in original) from the institution last attended.

Important Tips

  • Keep both original and around 3-4 photocopies of all required documents ready.
  • Arrive well before the scheduled reporting time if attending physically.
  • Keep checking your registered email for official communications.
